Our Curriculum

Our pupil-centred environment recognises how learning needs to be multi-dimensional and child initiated. Activities planned empower the children to progress against the agreed outcomes in their EHC Plans and ensure that they are engaging with and making progress through an explorative, play based and bespoke curriculum which enhances their communication and language skills.

We have a thoroughly planned, layered curriculum which takes into full consideration each and every child's unique, ever changing needs. We have a focus on life skills using a playful approach to learning, which builds upon the children's interests and engagement and responds to their individual ideas. Our structured, adult directed activities allow us to teach specific skills and meet specific needs, through individualised activities, 1:1 and small group teaching.

Within our class we cater for the areas of need of the SEND code of practice (communication and interaction, cognition and learning, social, emotional and mental health difficulties, and sensory needs) with a particular focus on multi-sensory approaches, which enable the children to engage and learn through exploratory play.

Please keep an eye on our class twitter page @deepointpandora and on your child's Seesaw account to see all of the wonderful progress your fantastic children are making in Pandora.
