Maths
In Maths this term, our focus is on Place Value and number
We will be continuing to build upon the methods and strategies the children have been learning throughout Key Stage 2 so far!
In year 5, children need to be able to give reasons for their calculations and answers to show they have a deeper understanding- this is something we will continue to work on this term.
I have also attached some useful websites below and fun games to help children learn their times tables which are so important to lots of areas of maths. It is incredibly important that the children continue to consolidate their knowledge of the times tables. Each child has their own log in to Times Table Rock Stars, which is a great tool for quick recall of times table knowledge! Below, I have linked helpful songs, images and games !
